Born of a collaborative effort by area International Schools for a Middle Eastern (Omani) choral festival, this original work combines the Arabic language and style with some short English phrases to welcome and make all feel included like family. An opening section presents a lyrical unison or solo melody before opening up to a syncopated choral texture that includes choreography suggestions. Instrumental parts for drums and guitar, clarinet, or violin are available as downloads from the publisher. 11592517 SATB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.00 Arirang (Mother of Mine)—Byunghee Oh. Written in a transliteration that makes it accessible to all choirs, this Korean homage to mothers is captivating and poignant. Drawing on the melodic and rhythmic grammar of both traditions of Indian classical music, Hindustani and Carnatic, the composer creates a unique choral celebration of springtime. The meaning of the title is twofold, translating as "spring rains" as well as "downpour of Bahaar." Detailed video guides on performance and background of the piece are provided on the publisher's website. 11592385 SSATB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5.25 The Bunny Walks—arr. Roman Surzha. This Ukrainian folk melody exemplifies how a simple musical idea and childlike innocence can create sublime music. A single solo voice tells the story of a bunny that circles a house, desiring nothing else but to help a young child sleep. A wordless chorus accompanies the melody with Impressionistic tone colors, which can be performed by a sensitive soloist or small group. 11540628 SSA divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.40 Cirandas Brasileiras (Three Traditional Brazilian Folk Songs)—arr. Matheus Cruz. One of the most famous Brazilian genres, the ciranda, combines music and dancing to the sound of slow, 4/4 rhythmic patterns marked by strong downbeats and accompanied by percussion instruments. This mixed choir arrangement artfully combines three popular cirandas: Mandei fazer uma casa de farinha; Achei bom bonito and Quando a morena brinca na beira do mar, with percussion parts sold separately. 11592570 SATB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.25 Let nothing stop you from singing! jwpepper.com/lpe LARGE PRINT EDITIONS Conductor's Double Podium with Rail 10669135 . . . . . . . . . . 1382.00 CONDUCTOR PODIUMS Folding Conductor's Podium Wenger 10669140 Single Podium without Rail . . . 479.00
