Sight-Singing & Warm-Ups Level Up! (An Interactive System for Vocal Sight-Reading)—Michele Henry & Keitha Lucas Hamann. Help your students Level Up! their sight-reading skills using their minds and ears as well their voices! This sequential, interactive, and comprehensive resource uses the concept of target skills (isolated pitch and rhythm patterns) and guides students to carefully understand and analyze every new skill by difficulty. The students are then asked to sight-read specially sequenced practice melodies for additional reinforcement. Each of the student books, available in both treble clef and bass clef editions, is designed as an interactive workbook for the student to mark up. The companion teacher books include clear instructions for how to best use the system, outline the approach and sequencing, and provide assessments. Links are included for additional online exercises and reinforcement. This series is designed to support the artistic literacy goals of the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards (NCCAS) and many state music education standards. 11338657 Student Book Vol. 1 Treble Clef. . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11338659 Student Book Vol. 1 Bass Clef. . . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11338660 Student Book Vol. 2 Treble Clef. . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11338661 Student Book Vol. 2 Bass Clef. . . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11342381 Student Book Vol. 3 Treble Clef. . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11342382 Student Book Vol. 3 Bass Clef. . . . . . . . . . . . .8.95 11342383 Teacher Book Vol. 1 & 2. . . . . . . . . . . .29.95 11338662 Teacher Book Vol. 3 . . .29.95 Making Sight-Reading Fun! With its 100th anniversary in 2003, this comprehensive sight-singing course celebrates an entire century of use as the "great-grandfather" of developmental tools for the young musician. One-Minute Sight Singing teaches and reinforces the essentials of solfege-based sight singing without cutting into valuable rehearsal time. The curriculum, structured as a collection of one-minute lessons, targets students of all ages who are new to sight singing. It also serves as an ideal component to the regular choral warm-up routine for singers of all experience levels. Singers who are new to music reading and theory will appreciate the helpful reminders interspersed before new concepts are introduced in the music. The careful progression of lessons ensures that singers will gain a solid mastery of sight singing, movable "Do" solfege, and Curwen hand symbols. One-Minute Sight Singing is uniquely designed with exercises duplicated in both treble and bass clefs. Not only does this help singers learn to read and sight sing in both clefs, but directors may also use the unison exercises to help improve tuning and breath support. A great choice for school, youth, community, and church choirs! 10083189 Vol. 1 Beginner/ Intermediate . . . . . . . . . .9.99 10097722 Vol. 2 Intermediate/Adv. 9.99 Patterns of Sound—Joyce Eilers & Emily Crocker. This is a powerful, effective sight-reading method for elementary and early middle school treble voices. The concepts of rhythm and pitch are introduced separately at the beginning, but always within the context of measures so that exercises are musically interesting. Exercises that illustrate and reinforce each concept are combinable, so harmonic interest is introduced at an early stage, building rhythmic independence and better intonation. The result? Painless part singing. One of the most important features of this method is the inclusion of actual songs, arranged with accompaniments, words and dynamics. The logical sequencing and careful reinforcement of musical concepts lead naturally to a broad musical understanding. Student confidence stays high because they really understand what they are doing. 1681188 Singer's Edition Vol 1 . . .3.50 1681170 Director's Score Vol 1. .16.99 1706217 Singer's Edition Vol 2 . . .3.95 1706209 Director's Score Vol 2. .19.99 1681196 Accomp.
