109 East Palace (Concert March)—
Leon Steward. During the Manhattan
Project to develop the atomic bomb, the
research facility in Los Alamos, New
Mexico was only accessible through a
small, unremarkable building in downtown
Santa Fe. Workers met there and were
transported to Los Alamos. The address
was 109 East Palace.

13 Stripes, 50 Stars—Leslie Gilreath. This
work of unity and resolve was inspired by
the thousands of American flags flying
on the National Mall in place of all the
people who were unable to attend the
U.S. Presidential Inauguration in 2021 due
to the pandemic. The image of so many
flags standing together without regard for
political inclination is a beautiful tribute to
the American spirit.

audiences alike!

A Veterans Salute—Tom Tucker. An
original melody portrays strength and
importance to honor those who have
served in the armed forces. Accompaning
this stirring music is a speech and a
slideshow that can be projected on a
screen while the band is playing. There
are several downloadable options for your
presentation included with your purchase
– for example, the speech may be read
by a school administrator while the band is
playing with the slideshow projected in the
background. Strengthen the impact of your
tribute with this powerful melody, speech,
and slideshow.

sorts of musical concepts, and this is no
exception. It's a perfect first foray into the
wide world of march music!

Black Moon March—Randall Standridge.
Introduce young players to march style with
a spooky twist with this dark and mysterious
minor-mode march for beginning band.
Built around the first six notes typically
taught, this piece also introduces concert F
in a fun and approachable way. Melodies
are passed throughout the ensemble, and
optional advanced and easier percussion
parts provide flexibility for developing
players. A great choice for concert or
festival, and an especially fun fit for a
Halloween performance. "Randy Standy
Study Buddies" are available for this work
to support learning and rehearsal.

arrangement allows ensembles to perform
the work with as few as 13 musicians,
providing accessibility and flexibility for a
variety of instrumentation needs while still
allowing a full ensemble sound.

Dead Man's March—Randall Standridge.
Raise the anchor and beware the shadows!

haunted caverns of Shadow Cove. This
minor-mode concert march opens with a
lonely snare drum solo as spectral pirates
begin their eerie procession, gradually
joined by the full ensemble. Following
traditional march form, the piece features
melodic moments for every section and a
cinematic soundscape full of suspense and
mystery. As the ghosts vanish into the mist,
the snare solo returns to close the piece with
a haunting final beat. Perfect for Halloween
concerts, festivals, or any performance that

section, this piece balances musical sophis-
tication with spirited fun. The third movement
of "Aspects," a suite commissioned by the
American School Band Directors Association,
it may be performed independently or as part
of the complete work.
