feature with a relaxed rock-flavored groove played

Dat Dere—Bobby Timmons/arr. Erik Morales.
A soulful tune with a catchy title and melody! In
a medium swing groove and a moderate tempo
with a slightly mysterious intro, the saxes grab the
melody and it builds from there. A written or ad lib
alto solo is provided with a fat shout chorus. This
is an outstanding chart in every respect! Highly
recommended!

Full Steamin'—Dave Hanson. Wow! This chart
swings from top to bottom. The vibe of Don
Menza's tune for Buddy Rich Groovin' Hard is at
the heart of this new chart. It's a great opener or
closer for a festival performance!

I Will Wait For You—Michel Legrand/arr. Mark
Taylor. Originally composed for the French musical

by many great artists including Connie Francis
and Cher, this swinging arrangement for vocals
and jazz band seamlessly weaves in and out of
a half-time swing/swing feel. It features a great
instrumental break and a brief trumpet 2 solo.

commonly found in the style. It was composed
to demystify Latin music at the high school level,
while also providing a chord progression that
allows any level of player to learn how to improvise.
Throughout the piece there are references to two
great Cuban composers, Cachao Lopez and
Arsenio Rodriguez, as well as the well-known
American composer Tito Puente.

Let's Do It, Let's Fall In Love—Cole Porter/arr.
Tyler Arcari. The Cole Porter classic gets the full
swing treatment in this arrangement. In the B
section of the tenor solo, there is a great trombone
soli without the rhythm section that your students
will really be able to dig into, and the ending builds
to a dynamic hit to wrap up the chart.

Low Tide—Jonah Sendlin. A low-key but high-
energy piece with something for everyone to
love. Mixing straight and swung styles, it gives
players the experience of conveying similar
material in new and effective ways. A great bass
feature – beginning with an open cadenza, it has
complicated and compelling bass lines, and room
for solos.

Moanin'—Charles Mingus/arr. Andrew Homzy.
Here's a playable yet very effective arrangement
of this signature Mingus composition. The familiar
baritone sax riff is handled by three saxes, and
there is also a substantial soli for the entire
saxophone section. Optional parts are included
for flute, clarinet and French horn. A terrific
introduction to the genius of Mingus!
