In this G major piece, challenge your
young musicians to expand their bowing
techniques beyond the simple détaché bow.
All parts have the opportunity to use slurs,
hooks, and staccato bowings as well as
reinforce the two main finger patterns used
in G major throughout the range of their
instruments. Four popular holiday melodies
are dispersed throughout every part in
the orchestra: Deck the Halls; Chanukah,
Oh Chanukah; Silent Night and Jingle
