Original Concert Works Go to cart beginning 4 Colossus—Larry Clark. As the title implies, this piece is intended to sound huge, even though it is written for the youngest of students. The piece is set in a fanfare style with strong open intervals, but the technical demands have been limited for beginning players. Some tension chords with dissonant notes are used to add to the drama of the piece. There's a dragon on the loose (you can hear him in the bass and cello sections) and your strings are in on the hunt! Beginners will enjoy playing this edgy concert selection. Carefully placed accents make the opening section sound like it is in 3, even though the entire piece is in 4.
