The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on His way to
Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, "Hosanna!" Blessed
is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!" ( John 12:12-13 NIV)

Wave after wave of shouting pours over Jesus and the twelve. "Hosanna! Blessed is the
One who comes in the name of the Lord!"
The crowd follows them all the way from Bethany, their numbers swelling with every
step. Palm branches are cut and laid across His path, and coats—so many that the
ground in front of them becomes a carpet of wild color.
