Now That He Is Here
And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold,
you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. (Luke 1:30-31)
No more waiting. No more wondering. At last, He was here. Nothing could have prepared
Mary for the rush of love she felt when she looked at her Baby. She whispered His name, the
very name the angel had proclaimed to her—Jesus. Ah, it was perfect, as perfect as He. Jesus.
Now, everything would change. The Lord God, the Holy One had done a mysterious thing
and on this night, this very quiet, familiar night, Mary took Joseph's hand in hers and wept.
