The Promise of Light (A Christmas Musical)
Joel Raney. This 45-minute Christmas
musical is an inspiring celebration of God's gift
of eternal light! Traditional Christmas carols
are masterfully blended with original music to
tell the timeless story of the birth of Christ, the
light of the world. An entirely unique feature of
this musical is the optional 4-hand piano score,
which adds tremendous energy and fullness
to the sound. Beyond that, the sparkle of a
simple handbell part plus a variety of percussion
instruments and a synth keyboard (to supply
lush string sounds) gives this work a pulsating
world-music flavor. There is a scripture-based
narration throughout and simple performance
