H Amazing Grace/Pachelbel's Canon—
arr. Jean Anne Shafferman.
Here is a marvelous
pairing of Amazing Grace with the beloved baroque
classic, Pachelbel's Canon! The baroque canon
accompanies as the voices sing Amazing Grace in
4/4. Opening with unison voices, it flows easily to
rich part writing, closing in inventive counterpoint
with the canon bass line, the Amazing Grace
melody, and a soaring soprano descant "Alleluia."
Inventive and very creative!

Eatnenmen Vuelie (Fairest Lord Jesus)—
Frode Fjellheim.
The opening musical number
from the Disney animated feature "Frozen,"
this song is inspired by indigenous Saami and
Norwegian culture, a combination of Saami yoiking
and the Danish Christmas hymn Dejlig er jorden,
or Fairest Lord Jesus, by B.S. Ingemann. Yoik
is a very old vocal tradition among the Saami
people of Scandinavia and Russia, characterized
by short melodic phrases that repeat again and
again, with small variations. With English, German
and Norwegian versions of the text, synthesizer,
percussion and optional male yoik.

An important song from Twila Paris, with a simply
wonderful text, perfectly wedded with music that will
give goosebumps to all who hear it! Lloyd Larson
has done a marvelous job setting it for choir, too.
Full of sorrow, this will be very effective throughout
Lent and especially appropriate on Good Friday.

scorned him as he died, the humble King they
named a fraud, and sacrificed the Lamb of God."

Lord of the Small—Dan Forrest. This tender
hymn of praise reminds us that in the end we are
all weak and broken and that the Heavenly Father
deals lovingly and mercifully with all of His children.

anthem will challenge your congregation to live life
in all circumstances to the glory of God - just as
