starts the first section with a bold, memorable first
theme in the trumpets which is continued by the
upper woodwinds. The low brass, which have
been providing a solid, rhythmic accompaniment
become more lyrical in the second theme. A nicely
contrasting center section in 3/4 follows with a
flute section soli,the powerful opening theme then
returns and concludes with a dramatic ending. An
outstanding work we recommend highly!
