These two works are part of
Edvard Greig's famous "Holberg Suite." The Air
is one his most beautiful and tender works, while
the Rigaudon is a characteristically playful French
baroque-style dance. This installment concludes the
complete "Holberg Suite" and all five movements may
be performed together in order as originally intended
or independently.

The Crown Diamonds Finale—Daniel Auber/

This popular overture, written
for one of Daniel Auber's 17 comic operas, was first
performed in Paris in 1841. The overture far outlived
the opera itself, becoming a popular staple in the
orchestral repertoire. This delightful arrangement of

Finale from "The Firebird"—Igor Stravinsky/
arr. Michael Story.
First performed at the Paris
Opera in June 1910, this piece made Stravinsky
famous, and is considered one of his greatest works.
In 3/4 time, the arrangement provides a wonderful
opportunity to introduce or reinforce triple meter,
while introducing young musicians to this famous
classical work. The grandiose finale is sure to be met
with grandiose applause.

Fingal's Cave (Excerpts)—Felix Mendelssohn/

composed in 1830, inspired by a cavern on an island
off the west coast of Scotland. The stand-alone
