l Something to Smile AboutBob Turner. This
"two feel" original swing chart is really something
to smile about and sounds like it came striaght
from The Great American Songbook! It's basically
a conversation between alto sax, trombone and
piano with three distinct melodies all happening at
the same time. The piano solo breaks as well as the
solo section can be played as written or improvised.
A sax section soli after the solo section includes the
trombone player in the sax section adding to the
quality of the sound. Very nice!

4 South Street ShuffleBob Turner. This cool
shuffle chart has many typical shuffle features
including the high hat pattern for drums, the 1-6-
5-6 pattern for bass, and the four measure lead-in

many times throughout the chart, and there's a little
twist in the structure of the 12-bar blues pattern and
occasionally there's a 16-bar pattern thrown in for
fun. The open solo section features a written tenor
sax solo which can be played as is or improvised.
