2 55/1175&77L-2 Foreword It was the blood of the sacrificial lamb placed on doorframes which diverted the angel of death from the homes of captive Israel, ultimately leading to their freedom from Egyptian bondage. That pathway to freedom was a foretelling of God's plan with the holiest of sacrificial lambs – Jesus, the Christ. As Jesus was just beginning His ministry, it was John the Baptist who publicly recognized this Lamb of God: "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29) And in the culminating revelation of John, one of the twelve disciples, we get a brief glimpse of what it will be to eternally bow before and worship the triumphant and living Lamb of God: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" (Revelation 5:12) Behold the Lamb! is a musical and narrative journey reminding us that the path to freedom and salvation came with a significant price. The Lamb of God is central to this priceless gift. The Holy Lamb of God – pure and spotless – was the very Son of the Creator of the universe. Jesus was the sacrificial Lamb who bore our sins on a cross, giving His life for our release from spiritual bondage. And it is the resurrected living Lamb of God who invites us into an eternal relationship with the God of the universe to live and worship forevermore! Near the cross! O Lamb of God, bring its scenes before me; help me walk from day to day with its shadow o'er me. —Lloyd Larson Contents Narration 1 ................................................................3 Praise the Holy Lamb of God! ....................................4 Narration 2 ..............................................................15 What Wondrous Love Is This ....................................16 Narration 3 ..............................................................22 Hosanna to the King of Israel! .................................23 Narration 4 .............................................................. 31 At the Lamb's High Feast .........................................32 Narration 5 ............................................................. 40 Hallelujah!
