Precise, delicate ringing is required, with pluck and swings to help build momentum. Being built on a foundational bass line, an alternative title for worship might be Built on the Sure Foundation. In ABA form, the reflective B section contrasts the rhythmic and joyously rocking A section, using optional claves, shaker and hand drum to add to the excitement and fun. Commissioned for the 2012 Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar and played by Seminar ringers at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, this arrangement is a fantastic opener for a concert, a patriotic service, or a major-league baseball game! Written in B-flat major, it's perfect to sing along to, and an optional cymbal part adds to the excitement. 10340447 3/6 Octave . . . . . . . . This innovative suite for 2 to 5 octaves offers ringers three upbeat pieces, carefully scored for successive learning experiences: Adoration, a bold processional with simple chords; Leap of Faith, a short, happy piece in which everyone gets to mart; and Joyful Praise, a memorable waltz melody played in all ranges with echoes and thumb damps. Unison exercises are included to help teach new skills, rhythms and techniques. When performing this in a secular setting, use the subtitle Playground Suite and the subtitles of the movements, Follow the Leader; Hopscotch and Red Rover. Sandra Eithun. This wonderful song, made famous by Louis Armstrong's quintessential recording, is set here by Sandra Eithun for 3-6 octaves of handbells with optional handchimes and wind chimes. Calling forth the lyrics, "I see trees of green, red roses too...," audiences experience a sensation of color through lush chords on handchimes, lingering melody lines, and well-placed grace notes that bring the arrangement "over the top."
