Lux Aeterna—Morten Lauridsen.
When this magnificent choral work made its
debut in 1997, it was immediately recorded by
the Los Angeles Master Chorale and received a
Grammy nomination. Since then, it has earned a
place in the choral repertoire as one of the most
significant musical statements of the 20th century.
The a cappella movement O Nata Lux is a pristine
example of Lauridsen's compositional style,
and the combined effect of Lauridsen's soaring
melodies and clustered harmonic textures is truly

Magnificat—Kim Andre Arnesen. This new
setting of the Magnificat was conceived by the
composer as a prayer for the sick and the poor, and
