You'll get a kick out of this chart! 10049776 Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist . . . . . . . . . . M 62.00 n I Get a Kick Out of YouCole Porter/arr. Neal Hefti. The big band arrangement of one of the most famous Sinatra recordings I Get a Kick Out of You, arranged by Neal Hefti! This arrangement was featured on the 1962 album Sinatra and Swingin Brass. It's not a particularly difficult arrangement though trumpet 1 goes to E6 and trombone 1 goes to B4. The real trick to this arrangement is getting the band to be as tight as possible, especially where there are accented band hits. The fourth trombone is written for bass trombone. The arrangement features an 16-measure alto saxophone solo. Chord changes have been included for your alto player to improvise. There are no saxophone doubles. 10273619 Jazz Ens & Vocalist. . . MA 65.00 I Just Called to Say I Love YouStevie Wonder/ arr. Michael Mossman. Originally recorded in 1984 by Stevie Wonder, here is a smooth version in a cha-cha style that provides a very appealing setting for vocalist. Mossman uses some harmonic twists and turns, interesting and creative background figures, and includes solo space for trumpet. Vocal in B-flat. 10427394 Jazz Ens & Vocalist. . . MA 60.00 I Thought About Youarr. Mark Taylor. This tuneful Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Mercer ballad from 1939 has remained popular through the years and is a particular favorite among jazz musicians. Beautifully set for vocalist and jazz ensemble in a medium swing style, Mark Taylor places just the right background lines in just the right places. This may also be used as a tenor sax solo feature. Vocal in B-flat. 10461360 Jazz Ens & Vocalist. . . ME 50.00 n I Won't DanceJerome Kern/arr. Neal Hefti. Here's the classic Neal Hefti big band arrangement from the 1962 Frank Sinatra and Count Basie collaboration "Sinatra-Basie." This is vintage Neal Hefti: mellow, but swinging lines and enough space to afford the vocalist some freedom of interpretation. This chart really "breathes" well. The arrangement calls for alto 1 to double flute (Frank Wess was the flutist on the record). An alternate alto 1 part is included avoiding the flute double. Also featured are a couple of short tenor sax solos which have been written out. Vocal in C modulating to D-flat. 10062050 Jazz Ens & Vocalist. . . MA 65.00 l I've Got the World on a Stringarr. Nelson Riddle. This wonderful chart on the Harold Arlen standard was the first arrangement Nelson Riddle wrote in his own style for Frank Sinatra in 1953. The story goes that after hearing this chart, Sinatra decided to exclusively work with Riddle. This classic features a full big band with the addition of strings and two French horns added at a later date for live performances. The added parts are purely optional. An optional synthesizer part is included and can be used as an alternate for the strings. There are no saxophone doubles, and the vocal key is D throughout. Naturally, this is an outstanding arrangement! 10530084 Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist with Strings . . . . . . . . MA 75.00 l I've Got You Under My SkinCole Porter/arr. Nelson Riddle. Perhaps no song is associated with Frank Sinatra more than this one! In Los Angeles on January 12, 1956 Frank Sinatra recorded Nelson Riddle's arrangement of Cole Porter's song, I've Got You Under My Skin. This turned out to be one of Sinatra's most popular recordings, and is widely recognized as one of the best examples of a big band treatment of a pop song in the history of the recording industry. Now for the first time in print, this arrangement is based on the original parts used by Sinatra for the 1956 recording session and calls for woodwinds doubling on flutes, clarinets, and bass clarinet. An optional synthesizer part is included as a substitute for the string parts. Also featured is a trombone solo. Highly recommended! 10517481 Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist with Strings . . . . . . . .
