Quincy Jones wrote some incredible arrangements on very popular tunes for the Count Basie Orchestra. As recorded on This Time By Basie, Quincy's arrangement of I Left My Heart in San Francisco features great interplay between the ensemble playing the melody, and the piano with written solo fills. With a tempo around 108 bpm, and a relaxed swing feel, there's also short solo space for tenor saxophone, and the ranges are very moderate. This chart is playable by a lot of bands.
