The basis of this well-known

on Halloween, Death appears and summons the
dead to dance while he plays music for them. In
a familiar 3/4, it's spooky enough for a Halloween
performance and classical enough for any program
or contest all year long.

Igor Stravinsky/arr. Robert Buckley.
The premier performance of this masterwork is the
stuff of legends with disagreements whether it was
the music or the choreography that caused the near-
riot of the audience. Considered to be one of the
most influential works of the 20th century, this work
laid the basis for modern jazz, film music and even
heavy metal. It's all here: the driving rhythms, the
haunting Russian folk melodies, the brilliant scoring,
the crunching harmonies and the epic drama! True
to the original, this one is a valued and important
addition to the wind band repertoire!
