a massive work of art in which steel rods are
placed over a large expanse of desert, drawing
lightning strikes and creating powerful man-
made electrical storms. This work draws on
the ancient impulse to summon nature's power
and a strong feeling of barely contained energy
ripples throughout, enhanced by using thunder
sticks to create the sound of man-made thunder
surrounding the audience.
