We love to celebrate special days with our preschoolers!
Excellent preschool curricula use the calendar as a guide, knowing that
holidays and seasonal celebrations make great connections with our
youngest students. Preschool classes often invite family and friends to
school on special days for a short program, some refreshments, and
perhaps an art display.
Inside this collection are five short, delightful mini musicals for these
special days. No costumes, props, or sets are needed – just the
heartwarming voices of your preschool students. Teach these simple
songs by rote, and sing either unaccompanied or with simple piano or
guitar accompaniment. Accompaniments should include melody lines
and chords to best assist the children in their singing.
Motions will help your students learn the words and make your program
visually engaging. Motions should be very simple. Examples include:

Your students can help to make up some of the motions. The idea is to

Big – open arms wide
Stop – point down
Grow – slowly move arms upward
God – reach up
Prayer – praying hands
Thank You – touch chin with one
hand's fingertips, then bring hand
outward and slightly down
