The Moon and the Wind

These musical settings of two Robert Louis Stevenson poems from A Child's
Garden of Verses paint a picture of the imaginative life of a child. In The Moon,
the accompaniment provides a magical feeling as the moon looks down on all
the creatures of the night. In The Wind, contrasts between major and minor
create a tone painting. Wonderful for teaching text stress and lyricism, this set
of two may be performed together or individually. The optional flute part adds
much to the overall effect, which is very charming!
