22 Narration 2 Narrator 1: Behold a young couple chosen by God to be the earthly parents of the Messiah. They embark upon a journey to Bethlehem, heeding a decree by Caesar Augustus to return to their ancestral home for a census. Narrator 2: Shortly after Joseph and Mary's arrival in Bethlehem, the time came for the Baby to be born. There, in a lowly stable, Mary gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger bed, because there had been no room for them in the inn. Narrator 1: Behold the stillness of an ordinary night where Judean shepherds are keeping watch over their flocks of sheep. In an instant, this ordinary night becomes like none other they have ever experienced! Narrator 2: The quiet star-lit night was suddenly filled with heaven's light as an angel appeared to them bringing words of comfort and joy: Narrator 1: "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people! Today, in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord." Narrator 2: Suddenly the sky was filled with a heavenly host of angels praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and good will to all!" 65/2047L-22 Preview Copy
