SCENE 2 HARPER: So, Coach Walker, you are telling me that you don't have ANY apps? COACH WALKER: You know what they say: if you don't have it, you don't miss it. And if you don't miss it, you didn't need it anyway! But all this talk about apps reminds me of a little song I used to sing. (starts singing) "If You're Appy and You Know It Say Amen." (Kids laugh) But enough about my phone. Let's see who's next on our list. Sara? Where did Sara go? She was just here. ESTHER: She's over there taking a selfie. JEREMY: Of course she is. COACH WALKER: Yes, a teetertotter. If you don't know what a teetertotter is, can I just say that you kids are in for a fun few weeks. Harper, I see this is your first time here. Why don't you tell us a little about you? HARPER: Well, my name is Harper and we just moved here from Texas a few months ago. I was a little nervous before we got here, but I have made so many new friends. I love to sing, shop, and text. In fact, sometimes, if all my friends are busy, I even text myself! ESTHER: Now THERE is a perfect example of the problem with technology. I think— RUDY: (interrupts) She thinks people who spend so much time looking down at their phones are missing too many things in life. ESTHER: Exactly. But how did you know what I was going to say? 14 All About the Call For Preview Only
