NARRATOR: (spoken dry) How precious was that first Christmas night when "unto us a
child" was born and "unto us a son" was given. Thousands of years before
His birth, the prophet Isaiah had said that His Name would be called
"Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince
of Peace." Just imagine . . . the eternal, all-wise God offering Himself as our
Divine Counsel; the Mighty God being born into a world of weakness.
(music begins to"Jesus, Our Noel") The Everlasting Father stepping into the
temporal, and the Prince of Peace reigning over the chaos of this earth. Yet
it was for this reason that Emmanuel had come, to be God with us, an
ever-present help in time of need. He is Christ, the Light of the World . . .
and He is Jesus, our Noel.
