4 The King and Me—Deborah Craig-Claar,
Rob Howard & David Guthrie.
It looks like
Bethlehem, the birthplace of King David, is about
to have a new claim to fame. An entertaining
entrepreneur, and aficionado of all things related
to Israel's great kings, is about to open the world's
newest theme park - Royal Land, right there in the
city of David! That is, if the safety inspector gives
the go-ahead to thrill rides like The Egyptian Chariot
Race. It has been centuries since Bethlehem's
favorite son sat on the throne of Israel, but maybe
Royal Land will help rekindle some of the former
glory days? Live shows, royal reenactments, hair-
raising rides... none of the planned amusements can
hold a candle to the amazing, surprising, unexpected
arrival in the City of David of a new king - the King of
Kings - born right here in Bethlehem!

The Loaned Manger (The Wild West
Christmas Adventures of the Loaned
Manger)—
David Guthrie, Rob Howard & Steve Moore.
In
the small western town of Incarnation, Christmas is
celebrated with grit, giddy-up, and gusto. They like
to think of themselves as "the most Christmasy town
in the West." 1891 is the year that two big "signs o'
progress" could spell either trouble or opportunity.
The railroad has finally punched through with the
grand opening of Incarnation Station, bringing visitors
for the first time from far and wide to take in their
Christmas festivities. And, the advent of the electric
light promises to revolutionize their nativity program.
Some fret that all the expected "outsiders" could
threaten the peace of their quiet town, and maybe
bring in desperadoes, while others see the chance to
spread the Good News of the birth of Jesus. Round
up some rambunctious cowpokes, some forward-
thinkin' townsfolk, a manger on loan, and a lot of
raucous yee-haw for a real Christmas adventure of
the Wild West.

The Night Shift Before Christmas (A
Musical for Kids)—David Guthrie, Rob
Howard & Steve Moore.
It's a late-night crowd...
the cook, the waitress, travelers for the census, the
innkeeper, troublemaking shepherds, and camel
drivers. The big news about a little baby travels fast
around Bethlehem — even in the wee hours of the
evening at the all-night Falafel House, Bethlehem's
24-hour roadside cafe. It's Bethlehem's only 24-
hour restaurant, and owners Flo and Mo are proud
of the fact that they've never closed their door...
until, perhaps, tonight! As the information stacks
up, they've got to make the big decision to go see
for themselves. Super-fun story, super-cool music
that even the older kids will love, but a solid gospel-
based celebration of the birth of the Savior.

The Noel Critter Motel—Mark Cabaniss &
Ruth Elaine Schram.
It's not just another day
at the Tiny Bit of Heaven Motel in Bethlehem
(actually a stable behind a small inn) which is run
completely by animals. Annie Lamb is a reporter
for The Bethlehem Chronicle and snooping around
for clues regarding Caesar's census. However, she
– along with the others – is about to
have a life-changing night. Major Moo runs a tip-
top motel, accompanied by Miss Dovie (front desk
clerk), Ladybug Lacey (maid) and Cecil R. Caterpillar
(bellhop). The innkeeper is the only human that ever
comes in among the animal visitors, but rumor has
it he's bringing a human couple in to stay the night,
and the animals are afraid they'll ruin everything! But
they all eventually learn a certain "stranger on the
straw" came to earth to change the world, and that
even people and things we don't unders tand can
sometimes be miracles in disguise. 25 minutes.

Out Standing in Their Field—Lee Dengler &
Susan Naus Dengler.
Using both familiar carols
and fun, new songs, Out Standing in Their Field
tells the Christmas story with a ragtag group of
shepherds and a colorful company of angels. This
20-minute musical is easily prepared and presented,
and flows with clever dialogue while ending with a
powerful message. Meet Clarence, the concerned
angel, Gabriel, the "cool" trumpet-playing angel,
Oscar, the grouchy shepherd, Missy, the exuberant
shepherd-in-training and more as they find their way
to the manger's while learning that with the birth of
Jesus, everyone is truly outstanding!

Sheep in Heavenly Peace—David Guthrie,
Rob Howard & Deborah Craig-Claar.
It's a
zoo out here. Bethlehem's homes and inns may
be bursting at the seams with travelers for the
census, but because of the animals they brought
with them, the stable is simply out of control with
camels, donkeys and goats up to the rafters. Even
the normally sleepy hillsides are now teeming with
an abundance of sheep, and Bethlehem's top temp
agency must call on their most eager but often
inept family of workers, the Wooltons, to step up
and answer the call. What they expect to be an
unglamourous assignment will soon put them face to
face with the angel Gabriel, a sky full of the Heavenly
Host, and ultimately the Good Shepherd himself -
Jesus. 41 minutes.
