Gig Combo Books Andy Clark & Paul Clark. "Ho! Ho! Ho!" This set of holiday combo books will put a twinkle in anyone's eye! The collection contains 12 charts that are easy enough for younger players, and we think even pros can make use of them... that's how good the arrangements are. Playable in any combination of horns and rhythm section, they're also great for jazz bands with instrumentation limitations. The CD recording provides both full performances and also "play-along" cuts. Songs include: Jingle Bells; Funky Old Saint Nick; Away in a Manger; Deck the Halls; Joy to the World; O Little Town of Bethlehem; Up on the Housetop; What Child Is This? Go Tell It on the Mountain; Angels We Have Heard on High; Silent Night and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

l Auld Lang Syne—arr. Rick Hirsch. This is definitely not the Guy Lombardo version! This arrangement starts out slow and sentimental, then goes into a double-time swing feel for more melody, some trumpet jazz, and good out choruses. You can't play a New Years gig or close out a holiday concert without it! Swing in the New Year! 10288821 Jazz Ensemble .......... .52.00

H A Christmas Fantasy for Jazz Band— Paul Clark. This very creative arrangement based upon What Child is This? and O Come, O Come Emmanuel will make a wonderful addition to holiday concerts. With very few exceptions, the horn parts amazingly never play anything more complicated than quarter notes and the ranges are very reasonable, yet the sound is huge and impressive. For musical contrast,
piano, alto, trumpet, and a short duet for both altos accompanied by a driving, "steamroller" rock feel. It's also playable with an optional reduced instrumentation of 3 saxes, 3 trumpets, 1 trombone and 3 rhythm. Totally awesome and highly recommended! 10032005 Jazz Ensemble .......... .45.00

H Frosty the Snowman—arr. Mike Lewis. Simply one of the best holiday charts this year! It begins with an easy-going introduction in the rhythm section, then the tune gets played through once with a nice swing to it, and then, all the stops get pulled out for a big band shout sound that your band will love! There's a surprise ending to it all too! 2467736

n Greensleeves (What Child is This?)—arr. Chris Sharp. Whether you call it Greensleeves or What Child is This?, you will have a terrific holiday concert feature with this easy chart in a relaxed, bossa nova style. It effectively breaks into a swing section before returning to the Latin groove. There are no solos and its flexible scoring allows it to be played with as few as three saxes, two trumpets, one trombone and rhythm section. Nice! 2480735
