Narrator 1: For those who stood there that day, for those who loved Jesus, all hope
was lost. ere could be no dawn that would change this devastation. Despair and fear
overcame them. ey were there when the earth split open in violent protest. ey had
seen their Lord crucified.
Narrator 2: ere is a final word in the redemption of man and upon it alone stands
our forgiveness. It was uttered by Jesus that day from the cross. "Finished! It is finished!"
(music begins) Darkness had had its hour. Its power was spent. Jesus looked death in the
face and it was His love alone that vanquished it!
