Somber q = 72 Up from the Grave He Arose ROBERT LOWRY and MARTY PARKS NARRATOR: (dry, no music) Following His death, Jesus is laid lovingly in a borrowed tomb. A large stone is rolled over the entrance, sealing the sepulchre. Armed guards are dispatched to keep watch, lest His followers come and steal away the body. (music begins to "Up from the Grave He Arose") The next day is filled with a deafening silence. Confusion reigns as sorrow consumes the disciples of Jesus. Their hearts are broken, and the promises He made now seem meaningless, shallow, empty. Where now is their Deliverer? Where now is their Messiah? (meas. 9) But with the dawning of Easter day comes a promise fulfilled! As the sun rises, at long last victory is secured. The grave is but a gateway, and death is but a door! As a conqueror of the wages of sin, as a mighty Victor over Satan's dark domain…Christ arose! For Preview Only
