Here is a slow, swinging, lovely, warm, relaxed chart in the style of that famous Neal Hefti swing ballad! The arrangement is subtle and easy to play, and there are not a lot of pieces by Pat Metheny that swing in this way. The arrangement suggests flugelhorns throughout, although trumpets would work just fine. There is solo space for alto saxophone and trumpet/flugel. It's a medium swing version of a marvelous, often-played standard that opens with an alto and trumpet duet and is filled with tight ensemble punches. There's an optional conga drum part to lend authenticity to this fun chart. Nice, exciting and chocked full of energy!
