Knowing his final destiny was at hand, Jesus knelt and prayed. Who is Jesus? The Lamb of God, preparing for the supreme sac- rifice. (On cue, measure 21) But the cup didn't pass. Jesus was arrested, tried and found guilty. His sentence: death by crucifixion. 5. LORD, I WANT TO BE A CHRISTIAN (Music begins) There were three crosses at Calvary. Jesus was flanked on either side by two convicted thieves. One of them, in desperation, scoffed at Jesus and asked why he didn't save himself if he was the son of God. The other thief, however, believed in Jesus and said to him, "Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom." 6. O SACRED HEAD, NOW WOUNDED (Music begins) It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land. The sun stopped shining as life drained from his body. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. Who is Jesus? The one who was crucified for our sins. 7. WHO IS JESUS? (REPRISE) (Music begins) The crowd dispersed as the lifeless body of the crucified Jesus was taken down, wrapped in a cloth, and placed in a tomb. He sacrificed his earthly life so that we could have eternal life. Who is Jesus? "Friend of sinners, whom in love the Father gave; born within a borrowed stable, laid within a narrow grave. Son of God and Son of Mary, Son of Man to seek and save." Who is Jesus? Christ the Everlasting Lord. Who Is Jesus? - Narrations For Preview Only
