You see, God had to send Jesus here because we needed a Savior. Our sin has separated us from God and the only way we could have a relationship with Him again was for Jesus to come and save us. Mike, read some of those other verses. MICHAEL: Okay. (opens Bible again) Here we go. Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." And Romans 6:23 tells us the wages of sin is death. But here's the good news! Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (NASB) ANGELA: And John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV) GLORIA: And Romans 10:9 says, "If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (NIV) GABRIEL: Now THAT'S what makes Christmas something to celebrate. NICK: Wow, that really is what makes Christmas morning so special, isn't it, kids? JOEY: Yeah, maybe we don't need all the decorations or presents or even the tree for Christmas morning to be special.
