NARRATION:
From ancient times, the prophets encouraged the people with promises of a
coming Messiah. They spoke of a great King who would rule with justice
and wisdom, who would, at last, bring peace to the world. Hope lived in the
hearts of the people and they lived in expectation of God's fulfillment of
these prophetic visions.
Then came the centuries of silence. The faith of the people wandered in
desperation, searching for
restoration.
Devout people prayed with urgency,
longing for God's voice in the night. When would God speak to His people?
When would the Messiah come? When would the silence end?
Then, upon the refreshing winds of the Spirit, came the reminder of God's
faithfulness. From the Scriptures rang out glad tidings of great joy!
The LORD God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice
over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice
over you with singing.
