piece was performed by more than 17,000 singers from around
the world in Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir 6. The soft texture
ebbs and flows in beautifully crafted phrases that set the simple
text designed to give some small measure of comfort to those
who need it. Perhaps it might suggest a way of living with one
another that is compassionate, gentle, and kind.

the piece forward. Lush harmonies color the hymn-like B section
as the text evolves into a call for strength despite the troubles
that may come. Commissioned for a massed choir of over 700
singers, this piece is well suited for combined choir projects or as
a rousing and meaningful concert closer.
