Foreword Welcome to the very first VeggieTales Musical written for children to perform! We are excited to present the very best of VeggieTales in a Christmas musical that is written and designed especially for younger children. With authentic VeggieTales characters, DVD animation, stage and set design, multi-dimensional dialogue between stage actors and singers, and your favorite VeggieTales songs, this presentation is sure to become an instant favorite for audiences and kids. Set as a "play within a play," the children, along with the VeggieTales characters, decide to put on an Incredible, Gigantic, Humongous Christmas Show! As the children begin to suggest things that should be included in the show, they come to the discovery of the best part of Christmas – Jesus' birth. Complete with the opportunity for a staging of the nativity (including animal characters in costume), and Junior Asparagus telling the Christmas Story from Luke 2, this short musical is both endearing and exciting. Preschoolers will have the chance to play bells in the adorable song, Ring, Little Bells, while one-line speaking parts interject humor into this special presentation. Audience participation in sing-along style of the familiar VeggieTales Theme Song, and the ending carol, Hark, the Herald Angels Sing, makes this musical a complete family-and-friends event.
