ee Dengler is a composer and arranger with over 350 published
choral anthems, collections for vocal and piano solo, and Christmas
and Holy Week cantatas to his credit. He studied choral
composition and arranging with Alice Parker and received his
Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from West Chester
University in West Chester, PA. He is a freelance music editor and
engraver. Lee was conductor of the Goshen Community Chorale
for more than 17 years and currently conducts the College
Mennonite Church Adult Choir, where he also serves as Minister of
Music and Arts. He is a baritone soloist and has appeared in
recitals, oratorios and operas throughout the eastern and
Midwestern United States. He sings with St. Joseph Valley
Camarata, a professional choir. Lee taught as Assistant Professor
of Composition and Applied Voice at Goshen College until 2008.
Susan Naus Dengler is a lyricist and freelance writer. Her lyrics
for sacred choral anthems number in the hundreds. She also writes
devotional and liturgical material for church use. Susan specializes
in working with children's choirs, having developed the
multi-activity based program, "Music Makers," for her own
congregation, College Mennonite Church, where she serves on the
pastoral team in the areas of music, arts and worship. She also
supervises the contemporary music team, and conducts the
congregation's youth ensemble. She has conducted children's choir
festivals in many locations. Susan has taught private voice and
voice related courses at Goshen College and Fairfield Junior/Senior
High School. She is a soprano soloist and has performed in
oratorios, operas and recitals extensively. She received a degree in
Music Education from West Chester University and a Master's
Degree in Church Music and Vocal Performance from Valparaiso
University.
