SONG: Remember SONG: Nothing but the Blood NARRATOR: After the Passover meal is finished, Jesus and His twelve sing a hymn, just as their ancestors have done for centuries; expressions of praise and thanksgiving to a God of deliverance and promise. ey will need this soon. (Intro to e Mercy of the Cross begins) Treacherous events unfold quickly, and before the sun is up, Jesus is betrayed, tried, and sentenced to death. His followers are scattered and their dreams are shattered. Alone, the Savior of the world hangs on a cross…for you…for me. SONG: e Mercy of the Cross NARRATOR: But just when it appears that death has won, that the grave is victorious, that the Light of the world is extinguished, a new day dawns. e tragic events of Friday are swept aside by the glorious promise of Sunday. Jesus has risen! (Intro to Forever begins) And by His rising, He proves that no depth of sin is greater than His mercy. No sting of death can overcome the power of His resurrection. Eternally alive!
