SETTING/PLOT SYNOPSIS: The staff of a 1970s-era radio station must come up with a live Christmas Eve broadcast when an impending blizzard knocks out the electricity, leaving them with limited broadcast capabilities and only a backup generator for power. Fortunately a busload of choir members has taken refuge at the radio station. As a result, a non-believing disc jockey discovers faith in Jesus and the real meaning of Christmas during their live production. CAST DESCRIPTIONS – All cast members are children/youth who portray adult characters. Jannie (or Johnny) Fever: '70s-style, sarcastic disc jockey who is completely disillusioned with Christmas, and who has never placed his/her faith in Jesus. Venus Andmars: a hip, cool '70s disc jockey with a strong faith, "take control" attitude, and a genuine desire to see Jannie believe! East Westman: busy, "nerdy" newscaster in a constant state of disorganization Gertie (or Gerb) Tarmack: sales person for the radio station who is always willing to help out Hal (or Haley) Nickels: advertising coordinator for the station; isn't sure if he/she can write an entire program, but with a strong faith, pulls it off! Donna Howard: the no-nonsense, "older" station manager who takes charge and makes things happen Janitor: as '70s hip or "nerd" as you wish Bus Driver: same as janitor PRODUCTION NOTES For Preview Only
