MAGELLAN: Be prepared! Jesus, the Son of God is about to come to earth as a baby—and the first ones who will know are the shepherds! SPARKY: What exactly is going to happen? MAGELLAN: According to Luke, "There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified." POLO: ZIP: (looking at his gauges) It's night in Bethlehem! The Angels could arrive at any time! Should we zap down, Captain? MAGELLAN: No! We don't want to interfere in any way. (The Crew watches through the viewport.) It's so quiet down there. INFO: SPARKY: ROBOT: POLO: Does anybody else hear something? The shepherds are looking up! Do they see us? Impossible. But they seem to see something! (All shield their eyes as if there is a huge flash on the screen of the viewport, and we see a bright light reflecting off the faces of the crew.) OTTO: POLO: INFO: (music begins to "Our Savior Is Born Tonight") Wow! What was that flash?! There!! An angel! I see it!! Listen! MAGELLAN: Thousands of angels!
