COACH WALKER: It's good to see some familiar faces here from last summer! But it looks like we also have a couple of first-timers, so let's find out a little about who you are. (A phone rings and everyone looks down at their phones to see if it was theirs.) Well, excuse me. I certainly wasn't expecting a call. RUDY: (laughing) WHAT is that? COACH WALKER: It's a cellular phone . . . sturdy, steady, and still getting signal. HARPER: Wow! I've never seen one that opens up like that. COACH WALKER: It's called a flip-phone. You don't see too many of these anymore. RUDY: What's that gray, shiny thing on it? COACH WALKER: It's called duct tape. You see, the cover broke off a few years ago and I planned on getting it fixed. But I put that little piece of tape on it, and turns out it works better than the original! But enough about me; I think it's time to hear a little about some of you! Let's see . . . Rudy, since you seem to have so many questions, let's start with you. RUDY: All right. My name is Rudy, or "Ringtone Rudy" as my friends like to call me, because . . . well . . . they say I always seem to have my phone in my hand. Even though . . . no one ever seems to call. My favorite thing in the whole world is finding new apps, and someday I'm even going to make one of my own! COACH WALKER: Well, all that sounds very exciting, Rudy . . . and I don't even know what an "app" is! ( music begins to "There's an App for That") JEREMY: (loud) You are KIDDING ME! RIGHT? HARPER: Oh, my! We have a lot of work to do this summer! 3 < 2 6 All About the Call For Preview Only
