Martha Lynn Thompson adds another set of five hymn settings to her highly successful series of Ring with 6 collections. Each arrangement uses 14-22 bells and is easily playable by six ringers. Three pieces have optional handchimes. A "Bells Used Chart" for each piece provides suggested assignments. No four-in-hand ringing is required but, because some ringers have more than two bells, it is necessary to have a table or a place to put the additional bells. Three of the hymns are suitable for general occasions, one is appropriate for either Palm Sunday or Advent, and rounding out the collection is Natalie Sleeth's beautiful Were You There on That Christmas Night? Contents: Great Is Thy Faithfulness; I Will Arise/On Jordan's Stormy Banks; Hosanna, Loud Hosanna (Hail to the Lord's Anointed); It Is Well with My Soul and Were You There on That Christmas Night? 10082008 Book 6 Ringers in A-Flat . . . . . . . . 8.95 n Three Tunes for Six Ringers—arr. Linda Lamb. BEACH SPRING, KINGSFOLD, and O WALY, WALY are uniquely set for six ringers in this edition. While most music for six ringers employs a two- octave set of handbells, these tasteful pieces have been scored for three octaves for greater depth of sound and richer harmonies, where the bass clef handbells are divided between the two bottom ringers. Stem direction determines which ringer rings which handbell. The extra bells make the arrangements slightly more challenging, but the results are worth it! Volume 2 adds more beautiful settings in the same manner as the original with settings of ST. GEORGE WINDSOR, HYFRYDOL, and ST. LOUIS (quoting STILLE NACHT). 10486819 3 Octave Volume 1 . .
