A Chloris—Reynaldo Hahn/arr. Adam Burnette.
One of Hahn's more successful French art songs
for solo voice, this lyrical piece from 1916 is
freshly set in three-part harmony for treble choirs
with piano accompaniment. In a neo-Baroque
style, the accompaniment lays a continuo-like
foundation for the choral lines to display the
beauty and sensitivity of the melody and the
harmonic writing.
