Go to cart Agnus Dei—Ernesto Herrera. This beautiful setting of the traditional Latin text features divisi a cappella harmonies in a mix of ancient and modern, making this a fresh selection for more advanced ensembles. 11398737 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.30 Agnus Dei (from "Missa Romantica")— James Q. Mulholland. The final movement from the larger work "Missa Romantica," this beautiful setting of the Agnus Dei text in Latin from the Missa Brevis appears in two versions: the first is accompanied as it appears in the larger work; the second is an cappella version for mixed divisi choir. The orchestrated parts are available for the larger work. 11411093 SATB Accompanied Version . 2.10 3701662 Missa Romantica - SATB Singer's Edition . . . . . . 7.50 Ai Dievini—arr. Ethan Sperry. A mythological song about two heavenly steeds of a god's sons, this selection is a calm, meditative rendering that is almost mystical. The Latvian modality permeates the song with an eloquent tension emerging from the pedal point moments against the primary theme. 11396134 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.95 All That Could Never Be Said (from "The Lost Birds")—Christopher Tin. From the Grammy-nominated work The Lost Birds, this simple melody inspired by children's songs is a setting of Sara Teasdale's poem "In the End." Showcasing her signature pairing of nihilism and pastoral beauty, the poem is an exploration of regret: it suggests that the consequences of our inaction are final and absolute. There are no second chances to speak up or to act, and all our missed opportunities will be lost to us until we're reunited with them in death. 11417562 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.30 Benedictus, Hosanna (from "Missa Romantica")—James Q. Mulholland. Extracted from the fourth movement of the larger work "Missa Romantica," this setting of the traditional Latin text appears in two versions: the first is accompanied as it appears in the larger work; the second is an cappella version for mixed divisi choir. Both versions feature a soprano soloist. The orchestrated parts are available for the larger work. Either version can stand alone as a dramatic statement for concerts or services. 11410930 SATB Accompanied Version . 2.10 3701662 Missa Romantica - SATB Singer's Edition . . . . . . 7.50 The Body of the Moon—Desmond Earley. Commissioned to mark the occasion of the total solar eclipse in 2017, this cinematic selection was broadcast across the Pacific Northwest of the United States as millions experienced the totality of the solar eclipse. The eclipse is represented by the lyrical cello line as the choir gives voice to the words of Galileo Galilei: "Vedere il corpo della luna" - Behold the body of the moon! The bass drum represents the vastness of our solar system, and a lone vocal improvisation speaks to the personal experience of this magical moment. This piece beautifully captures the sense of awe in witnessing such a monumental occurrence. 11425184 SATB divisi, or SSAATTBB . . 2.75 By Wisdom—Judith Weir. Composed for the National Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee which took place at St. Paul's Cathedral, London, on June 3, 2022, this five-minute anthem for mixed choir and organ sets a text from Proverbs 3. Composed by Master of the Queen's Music, Judith Weir, it was premiered by the choirs of St. Paul's Cathedral and Her Majesty's Chapel Royal, conducted by Andrew Carwood, with William Fox on organ. 11406632 SATB with Organ . . . . . . . . . . 4.95 Called to Rejoice—David C. Dickau. Two of our greatest choral artists, Charles Silvestri and David Dickau, have united to celebrate the powerful ability of music to heal, unify, and inspire. The piano accompaniment adds energy and strength to the piece, and the single word "music" is decorated so masterfully it is a moment of expressive genius. 11395880 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.35 Cantame al Cielo (Sing Me to Heaven)— Daniel Gawthrop/arr. Francisco J. Nunez. This longtime choral standard is now available in a version with Spanish text. Otherwise identical to the English version, this lyrical and harmonically expansive piece can be used as a beautiful memorial or tribute, or as a general selection. 11405230 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 1778844 Sing Me To Heaven - SATB . 2.25 3302085 Sing Me To Heaven - SSAA . 2.25 3057700 Sing Me To Heaven - TTBB. . 2.25 Cantate—Jacob Narverud. A powerful, well- crafted a cappella concert opener, this heart- pounding canonic work contains driving rhythms and cluster chords. A must-sing piece! 11410892 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1.75 Cantate Domino (Symphoniae sacrae liber secundus)—Giovanni Gabrieli/ed. Kody Wallace. Giovanni Gabrieli, an Italian composer and organist, was one of the most influential musicians of his time, representing the culmination of the Venetian School. This setting of Psalm 98 is scored for double mixed chorus and can be sung unaccompanied (reduction included) or with instruments doubling the voices. Part of the Andre Thomas Choral Series. 11396193 SATB/SATB Double Choir, or SSAATTBB . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.95 Child's Elm Song—Carolyn Jennings. This poem imploring us to use our lives for the service and beauty of others is set to music in a flowing, lyrical anthem. The choral writing is buoyant while the piano accompaniment provides childlike energy under the choir with masterful arpeggios that require a careful touch. A beautiful addition to the St. Olaf Choral Series. 11416578 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 Courting Is a Pleasure—arr. Desmond Earley. Featuring an alto solo, this selection is found masquerading under a variety of names throughout the Irish tradition, such as Farewell Ballymoney and Going to Mass Last Sunday. A song of false love, betrayal, and emigration, typically sung from the male perspective about a false young woman named Molly, it is altered here to a female singing about her dear love Johnny. This is a lovely take on the traditional folk song with supportive backing vocals. 11425185 SATB with Alto Soloist . . . . . . 2.75 Crucifixus Reimagined—Cecilia McDowall. Commissioned by Sonoro for the second installment of their Choral Inspirations project, this piece was composed as a response to Antonio Lotti's Crucifixus from Credo in F. Use of suspensions, decorated melodies, and counterpoint feel reminiscent of Lotti's original work, while retaining McDowall's distinctive contemporary style. 11415050 SSAATTBB divisi . . . . . . . . . . 4.50 Cum Laude Ego Canto—Richard Burchard. This is a song of praise written in a distinguished, elegant style that has become a hallmark of the composer. With text from the book of James and 1 Corinthians, this is a stunning contemporary madrigal that merges ancient sounds with a newness that is spellbinding. 11396137 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.85 Dashing Away with the Smoothing Iron—arr. Paul Ayres. This fresh arrangement of a traditional British folksong is a sure favorite! Dashing Away with the Smoothing Iron's independent lines and rich harmonies are a delight for all, from audience to stage! 11400133 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.75 Die Nacht, Op. 10 No. 3 (The Night)— Richard Strauss/arr. Lukas Haselbock. This outstanding selection arranged for 16-voice choir is an innovative take on the original for more advanced ensembles. 11424938 SATB SSSSAAAATTTTBBBB 6.95 Do Not. For, I Am...—Todd Goodman. Trying to find a way to support the families of the victims of a tragic accident, the composer wrote this comforting choral piece. Based on the poem Immortality, also known as Do Not Stand by My Grave and Weep, the first section is a solemn setting of the text. The melancholy mood slowly lightens, and the initial grief is replaced by a more optimistic energy. In a moment of remembrance, the choir reminds us that our lost loved ones can be found everywhere in nature, and we should not cry, for they are not there, they did not die. Written in memory of Brylee Walker and Lindsay Thompkins Jr. 11404070 SSA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.00 Dona Nobis Pacem—Hyun Kook. "Grant us peace" is a phrase that is uttered in Latin at the end of many liturgical songs. The beautiful melody that carries these words evokes the peace it speaks of, making this an outstanding concert selection. 11395884 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3.35 Drei Jugendlieder, Op. 10 Nos. 3, 7 & 8 (Three Songs of Youth)—Richard Strauss. This arrangement of the 3 classic Strauss pieces includes Die Nacht; Die Zeitlose and Allereelen. 11424933 SSATBB SSATBB . . . . . . . . 11.95 Especially Do I Believe in the Negro Race (from "Credo")—Margaret Bonds/ed. John Michael Cooper. Written in a gospel style, this lyrical second movement extracted from the larger work Credo utilizes a text by W.E.B Du Bois: "Especially do I believe in the Negro Race; in the beauty of its genius, the sweetness of its soul, and its strength in that meekness which shall yet inherit this turbulent earth." The intense beauty of the music reflects Bonds' deep affinity for the spirit of Du Bois' words. It features a soprano soloist throughout. 11421190 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.95 21 CONCERT WORKS COLLEGIATE CHOIR Order Toll Free!
