Processional Joy—Ludwig van Beethoven/
arr. Barbara Brocker. This processional, based
on Beethoven's Ode to Joy, has a bell tree of six
bells playing the melody. Accompaniment can
be either a 2-5 octave bell choir, a 2-5 octave
chime choir, or both. Some parts are simpler to
ring, allowing for easier parts to be given to the
"processionally challenged" ringer. Three of the
four phrases are nearly identical, so memorization
is simplified. This processional in C major can be
used in any season with a small or large choir.

Remembering—John A. Behnke.
An original piece to remember those who have
passed away due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
this reflective piece has minimal bell changes
and no sharing of bells. The music begins with a
tolling bell, then a melody emerges which seeks
to express the significance of each life lived,
including their struggle with this virus. Use for All
Saints or for a memorial Sunday.

Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day—
arr. Kevin McChesney. This English carol,
which dates from the 1600s, is a predecessor to
Lord of the Dance as the lyrics are spoken from
Jesus' viewpoint and describe aspects of His
life as a dance. Several variations of this theme
with different dancelike qualities take ringers and
listeners through a lovely journey of Christ's life.
Meter changes dictate the level, as there are few
bell changes. Consider programming this piece as
it is beautiful, musical, and magical.

Wellerman (A Traditional Sea Shanty)—
arr. Kathleen Wissinger. This jaunty arrangement
of the TikTok sensation will be crowd pleaser for
sure. Two incompatible scores are included in
the folio: score A is Level 2 for two octaves, and
score B (more complex) is Level 3 for 3-5 octaves.
A quick tempo in cut time is the main reason for
the higher rating. Neither score has bell changes,
bell sharing, or techniques, so they can be played
without tables or pads. Additional performance
notes are in the score.
