A collection of Welsh tunes make up this four-movement suite for developing bands. The first movement, "A Mighty Warrior," is bold and brave, like the hero it describes, with a strong Celtic feel. "Over the Stone" is the reverent and reserved second movement. A stately and majestic theme is heard in "Men of Harlech." The suite concludes with "Owain Glyndwr's War Song," which is a Celtic military style march. Three high schools in Toms River, New Jersey commissioned this musical depiction of their celebrated shore, from joy to turbulence.
