Grammy- nominated for Best Engineered Classical Album, Tuvayhun has a moving text by Charles Anthony Silvestri. This innovative 80-minute major work is based on the Beatitudes, with a message of inclusion, trust, kindness, compassion, humanity, and mutual respect. Judith Clurman. Drawing inspiration from 13 of the most influential women in American history, this 11-movement song cycle for mixed voices, piano, and cello chronicles quotes and ideals from women that have most influenced Washington D.C. and our entire nation. The work includes The Essence of America (Condoleezza Rice); For Centuries Now (Elena Kagan); Freedom (Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Betty Ford); Those of Us Who Shout (Margaret Chase Smith); In the Field of Equal Rights (Shirley Chisholm); We Pride Ourselves (Laura Bush); It Is Necessary (Sandra Day O'Connor); Remember the Ladies (Abigail Adams); It Took Me Quite a Long Time (Madeleine Albright); Believe (Barbara Bush); I Am Ever Hopeful/I Want a President (Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Michelle Obama). A perfect choice for choirs looking to inspire and inform! 11205626 SATB Choral Score . . .M 12.95 You Are Enough: A Mental Health Suite— Aron Accurso. This three-movement suite for tenor-bass choirs is intended to elevate conversations regarding mental health. The composer brings his sense of the dramatic to this powerful score. The first movement, Inside the Storm, is a cappella and filled with lyrics and harmonies that create a sense of questioning and discomfort. The second, A Thought Storm, is tumultuous, like an onslaught of negative thoughts, with spoken dialog, aleatoric singing, a dramatic piano accompaniment, and lyrics that begin with a negative bent and gradually transition to more positive thoughts. The final movement, You Are Enough, has a modern, musical-theater quality that expresses inspirational and empowering lyrics with memorable melodies. A fitting conclusion to a discussion on this challenging subject. 11398742 SATB Choral Score . . . .M 5.95 11347721 TTBB Choral Score divisi . . . . . . . . . . .M 5.95 Accessories, Live Sound & Recording Outfit your classroom, stage, or studio with top-of-the -line gear.
