S-Cubed! Sight Singing Program, Level Two
—Dale Duncan. A continuation in the S-Cubed!
series, Level Two requires very advanced
thinking and reasoning skills and is best
used with eighth grade and up after having
completed Level One. This method is ideal for
SAB or three-part choirs that include changing
or changed voices or that have completed the
S-Cubed original series before their voices
changed. Level Two picks up at Lesson 27
and transitions to sight-singing in three-part
mixed. Fifteen lessons in this series include
3-5 days of working 10-15 minutes each day.
Content includes producing and recognizing
octaves and unisons, developing listening
skills while encountering SAB music for the
first time, note reading on the treble and bass
clef, building major scales starting on any
pitch, understanding some of the functions of
key signatures, and sight-singing chromatic
pitches. You will not want to miss out on this
incredibly effective and valuable resource!
