It sounds like "Jaws!" Cellos will love getting the limelight for once! This piece provides an excellent opportunity to feature low strings, while giving all students a fun part to play! A perfect training piece for F naturals and simple 2-note slurs, this will be a winner with students and audiences alike. An optional piano part is included. 10027064 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .48.00 Easy Breezy—Mekel Rogers. With its slight syncopations and catchy D major melodies, this fun concert selection will engage your students and audiences alike! Its steady but leisurely tempo masterfully evokes a beautiful day on a warm beach. 11572914 String Orchestra, Percussion Required . . . . .55.00 El Gato Pizzicato—Richard Meyer. Imaginations will run wild during this charming Spanish salute to cats, as you set the mood with glissando "meows", threatening "hisses," and an enthusiastic visit from a dog. A great way to introduce shifting basics, high versus low finger patterns, and tone painting. Even finicky audience members will love this delightful piece! 10370546 String Orchestra, Percussion Required . . . . .46.00 Fiddles on Fire—Mark Williams. Rosin up the bow, call out the Fire Department, and let's go! This thrilling work is a modal display of beginning virtuosity that takes full advantage of that open fifth "fiddle sound." You'll have parents do-si-do-ing in the aisles, and students clamoring to play this one again and again! Without a doubt this is a superb piece for beginning players! 2346260 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .46.00 Galaxy Jam—Caryn Wiegand Neidhold. Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star rocks in this clever arrangement set in E minor. Drum set adds a great flair, and open solo sections with written suggested notes (D pentatonic scale) will give daring students a chance to explore improvisation. Rock on! 11392932 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .55.00 Goblin Boogie—Jeff Frizzi. It's spooky, bluesy fun for beginners with a catchy tune that's terrific for most any first or second year performance. Everybody gets to play the E minor rock riff, and there's a good mix of pizzicato and arco playing for all sections. 10343658 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .40.00 GPS—W.A. Mozart/arr. Richard Meyer. Imagine a live, off-stage voice interjecting driving directions during a performance of Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Your audience will love this fun and educational ride as the orchestra follows directions to "turn right onto Viola Avenue" or "merge together and play in unison." As the trip progresses, the directions get more and more outlandish with hilarious results. Guaranteed to give everyone the ride of their life! 10872112 String Orchestra w/narrator . . . . . . . . . . . . . .49.00 Guest Soloist—Richard Meyer. Your audience will get a real chuckle from this fun, interactive piece that spotlights a volunteer from the audience playing on a two-string violin (or any instrument you choose to use). This delightful original work requires absolutely no rehearsal ahead of time with the soloist (honestly!) who is cued in with taps on the shoulder. Everyone will be amazed as a volunteer from the audience, chosen on the spot, becomes the next "virtuoso." A two-minute concerto that will positively bring down the house! 10280312 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .50.00 Hey Fiddle Fiddle—Brian Balmages. Here's a nice opener or encore! The upbeat nature of the tune offers a few hints of Copland, but it remains easy and is also very likeable. There's even some stomps and hand claps to add to the experience. Your students and audience will enjoy this one. Lots of fun! 10008670 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .45.00 Ludwig's Dance Party—James Kazik. Who says Beethoven can't be fun? Here's a clever spin on Classical music's most famous four- note motif, done up right in a current techno- dance treatment. 10294275 String Orchestra, Percussion Required . . . . .35.00 A Mission to Mars—Jeffrey Frizzi. A great fast-paced and aggressive work for the string ensemble presented in three sections full of drama and intrigue. Driving rhythmic features will keep your musicians engaged and ready to play this one over and over. 11403522 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .60.00 Moonlight Tango—Richard Meyer. As the title indicates, this charming piece beautifully reinforces dotted rhythms and low-second patterns. Its lively dance-like character will be a popular addition to any concert occasion. 2301570 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .46.00 One Bow Concerto—Richard Meyer. Your audience will laugh out loud! A violinist, a violist and a cellist have soloist seats in front of the orchestra, and they share just one bow, passing it to one another just in the nick of time. The orchestra is all pizzicato, so there really is only one bow. "But a cellist shouldn't use a violin bow," you think. Right, so they stop passing it to him and the cellist shows what he thinks of that! By the end the bow is in the hand of the conductor. Recommended as a show-stopper! 2475422 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .62.00 Percentage of Error (The Prince of Denmark March)—Jeremiah Clarke/arr. Bob Phillips. This arrangement of The Prince of Denmark March, or Trumpet Voluntary, provides the perfect setting for advocacy and striving for excellence since it is so recognizable. Three different versions of the final eight bars, containing incorrect notes, are included. Each version contains an increasing percentage of correct pitches. Each represents a different letter grade. Play all four versions and then explain to parents and administration that the A+, 100 percent correct version is what we do every day in orchestra. All sections play the melody in this piece, providing a solid musical setting in a novelty piece. (2:00) 11400584 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .50.00 Pumpkin Round—Cindy Hill. With its teaching opportunities for staccatos, accidentals, and pizzicato, this D minor piece is just spooky enough for your fall concert but also substantial as a contest work. 11572926 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .65.00 Rock Bottom Boogie—Robert Longfield. Robert's new blues shuffle is a fun jazz ensemble-style tune, that lets your string orchestra perform something a little different. Easy swing rhythms in a comfortable key and tempo make it accessible for most groups. With a little creativity, you might want to open up a section for a young soloist to stretch out a bit. 10343653 String Orchestra, Percussion Required . . . . .40.00 Rock Riffs—Soon Hee Newbold. Hot rock original from Soon Hee Newbold! Exciting, grooving intro gives way to powerful riffs and updated phrasing. Fun for all your players. Drums optional. 10277841 String Orchestra, Percussion Optional . . . . . .45.00 Rondo Pizzicato—Mekel Rogers. Featuring a main melodic idea that alternates with contrasting episodes, this creative original work is a complete seven-part rondo (ABACABA) performed entirely without bows. Everyone gets a chance to shine in this cute, clever, and technically accessible work. A guaranteed hit with students and audiences alike! 11573155 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .60.00 The Sharks of Seville—Traditional/arr. Deborah Baker Monday. Brimming with intrigue and suspense, this exciting marriage of themes from "The Barber of Seville" with an iconic "shark in the water" motive will keep everyone on the edge of their seats. All Seville themes have been expertly adjusted for grade 1 students, and all recurring shark figures are well-fingered and easy to teach. 10520049 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .52.00 Spring Breezes—arr. Richard Meyer. Try this tender folk song from Taiwan to develop your students' sensitive and lyric style. Accompanied by lush, modern-sounding harmonies, the melody is passed to each section. The solos for violin and cello are at a medium-easy level and are accompanied by a prominent harp or piano part. Simply gorgeous! 2442762 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .48.00 TakaTiki—Katie O'Hara LaBrie. Reinforce simple sixteenth-note rhythms with this infectious Latin-style piece. The title, of course, is a play on the Kodaly counting system for sixteenth notes. Teaching materials are included to aid your students, but more than anything this piece is just plain fun! 11501899 String Orchestra . . . . . . . . .60.00 Manhasset Stand MANHASSET SYMPHONY MUSIC STAND MODEL 48 Manhasset Specialty, Inc. 4907796 Symphony - Black (Single). . . . . . . . . . . . 97.00 53.00 490780 Symphony - Black (Box of 6) . . . . . . . . . . . . 4488.00 280.00 10377646 Symphony Tall - up to 72-1/2" max height . . . . . . . . .108.00 10005601 Manhasset MusiClip Transparent. . . . . . . . . . . . .20.00 Available in 9 colors! jwpepper.com/music-stands
