Joy Beyond Measure—Betty B. Radford.
A lyrical, energetic, passionate, and
expressive original, this creative work
can be used in secular as well as sacred
settings. Written in three sections; the first
borrows briefly from Bach's Jesu, Joy of
Man's Desiring, but then the direction flows
to a 7/8 section. The last section in 4/4
uses a Bach chorale theme over a flowing
bass before returning to a reflection of the
opening. The piece was commissioned to
honor someone who loved the familiar Bach
theme and was also an avid quilter, hence
the title Joy Beyond Measure.

soy de Dios)—arr. Cathy Moklebust. This
uplifting arrangement of the Central American
folk melody Enviado soy de Dios
(ENVIADO)
is flexible and accessible. The underlying
malleted rhythm pattern is very repetitive,
making it easy to learn. Techniques abound
with martellato, mallets, shakes, and LV.
Even though they are optional, the addition
of claves, maracas, bongos, congas, and
acoustic guitar will not only add energy and
spice, they will also help to enhance and
reinforce the underlying rhythms for the
ringers. Use for worship or concert when the
focus is on care for the earth and each other.

Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord (Psalm
100)—Cathy Moklebust. This lively original
piece is inspired by the familiar words of
Psalm 100: "Make a noise to the Lord, all
the earth." The psalm text is printed above
the handbell staves to provide interpretive
guidance for ringers and directors. The
opening alternates between 6/8 and 3/4,
making use of mallets in the rhythmic
accompaniment. The middle section is
gentle and reflective, featuring optional
handchimes as an accompaniment for
the handbell melody, then gradually returns
to the opening theme, ending broadly in
grand fashion.

Lamb. This third installment of the popular
