This is the perfect slow movement for young orchestras, especially when introducing works of the Baroque period. A wonderful arrangement for your winter program or any time of year. 11000026 String Orchestra . . VE 52.00 A Winter Journey—P.I. Tchaikovsky/ arr. Kathryn Griesinger. Escape into a wintery mist of swirling snow. The mystical melodies woven into this arrangement are borrowed from Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1. The first movement, known as Dreams of a Winter Journey, features a brisk G-minor theme. Here, that melodic idea is transposed to easier E minor and explored at a gentle, slower tempo. Every section of the orchestra encounters lyrical lines as they join the journey through frozen hills and moonlit drifts. Opening and closing with the melancholy motif in cellos, the minor theme ends as softly as it began, vanishing like the cold silver moon. 11608211 String Orchestra . . VE 55.00 Classical Selections Easy Agnus Dei (from "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace")—Karl Jenkins/arr. Robert Longfield. Serene lyricism anchors this easy string orchestra arrangement from Karl Jenkins' "The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace." Slow, expressive pacing and carefully shaped dynamic contrast encourage students to focus on tone, balance, and sustained phrasing. Optional piano support adds depth, making it a thoughtful choice for teaching musical expression in a reflective concert setting. 11678451 String Orchestra . . . .E 50.00 Air on the G-String—J.S. Bach/arr. Doris Gazda. The famous Bach air is exquisitely arranged for string orchestra in this gorgeous setting. The violins and violas all have their own distinct melody lines as the cellos and basses hold everything together with their pizzicato low voice part. The audience is sure to enjoy this recognizable piece and its relaxing nature. 10093768 String Orchestra . . . .E 60.00 Allegro Molto (from Symphony No. 1, K. 16)—W.A. Mozart/arr. Anthony Granata. This familiar classical arrangement is rewritten in the key of D major. It features simple eighth-note patterns, dynamics, articulations, and accidentals. The piece retains the charm and elegance of the original work, helping to give your students a bold and mature sound. 11202634 String Orchestra . . . .E 55.00 Arioso—G.F. Handel/arr. Douglas E. Wagner. A rich and convincing string sound is assured in this profound scoring of a favorite concert offering.
